I was thinking about Heaven today and I have to admit that I don't want to go. I was just thinking about all of the different possiblities: white clouds, harps and halos (okay), being absorbed into God (?!), being one of the many brides of God (polygamy?) and then my own personal heaven (here?) and I just couldn't see myself wanting to go there. Better heaven than hell, I suppose, but as of now, the whole prospect is not convincing enough to have me particularily enamored with the whole experience. I know people who pine for heaven, who dote upon the idea and cling to it at ever tough encounter... then there's me.

I sometimes imagine that I could be a bodisatvah and come back to guide the living in the right way, that way they could go to heaven if they wanted to and I could keep on hanging out with ya'll down here. I'd still have to go when the world, ended, however, and so there you have it. Maybe when I'm older and a little bit more hopeless about the state of hummanity, I'll enjoy the idea of being recycled into the mind of God, but presently... I'd rather not.
